XXXVII JAROSŁAW DĄBROWSKI’S HIGH SCHOOL IN WARSAW
The school was brought into being 70 years ago. However, it has been changing all the time.
We are very proud of our results of the New Matura Exam (Secondary Education Graduation Examination) – the average of nearly all subjects is higher than in the other schools of Warsaw every year. 99% of our students continue their education at universities, colleges and high schools – the vast majority of them were admitted to daily studies.
The most crucial change, aiming at making XXXVII High School more students’ friendly, is the new system of teaching foreign languages. All first-year students (except for class B who have an extended program of teaching foreign languages) are divided into inter-class groups (the foreign languages are to be chosen from the selection of English, German, Italian and Russian).
Moreover, we also try to maintain our best tradition, which includes students exchanges with other countries, particularly with Italy and other European projects. The exchanges and projects are focused on the development of the language and culture awareness. We do hope that we will continue and strengthen the international cooperation.
We offer various forms of gaining knowledge and developing interests to our students. The school library hosts not only the editorial office of an almost 25-year-old school magazine „Propozycje” („Suggestions”) but also lectures and meetings with poets and writers. Our students perform successfully in the School Theatre. They also organise charity actions and begin their voluntary careers by joining the Voluntary Service. Our sports teams are also successful and win in inter-school games – partly thanks to a very modern pitch where our students can train as much as they wish.
